Returning to our story…
I was placed in a single room, that had a huge bed (for me, at least), a very nice bathroom ( not with a shower, but with a bath tub!) , air conditioning and, of course, a balcony, half facing the sea. Just wonderful! Since the boys said they would only come by later that day, I thought I could use the time to rest and relax. So I spend an hour or two sleeping (which I very much needed!) and then went down to enjoy a little time in the pool. Evening came and no sign of the guys. Looked like I was on my own, so I decided to go and explore a little. Dinner was excellent. Swedish buffet, with plenty of fresh vegetables and seconds to choose from. As expected, I took more than I could eat, so…
After dinner, I went out, to check out the surroundings. Pladja del Bossa is formed mainly by hotels, restaurants, shops and small clubs. 100% tourist zone. Which was pretty cool. I saw some neat placed that I thought I might like to visit while being there, maybe taste some of the local dishes. There was also a cool pub, called Murphy’s, that I passed by. Apparently, it was bikers’ night or something, since it was full of them. One of them even winked at me
. I thought about stopping for a while there, but then figured it would not be such a good idea, me being alone and all.
It was also a small amusement park down the street. It has this… thing, called Space Bunjee, that could give you some real chills! It was very appealing, but then I remembered that I am afraid of heights, so I just let it go… But I couldn’t resist the temptation to have a little henna tattoo made on my left shoulder. It was a small Chinese letter, meaning “kiss” (it wore off by the time I got home).
After that, I discovered that Bora-bora, the beach disco, was just a few minutes from my hotel. This made me veeeery happy
. Also, Space, one of the big clubs of Ibiza, was 500m further then Bora-bora. After making this huge discoveries for mankind, I went back to the hotel, changed, and plunged into the crowded Bora-bora. And when I say “crowded”, I’m not kidding! It was packed! Mostly naked, the boys and girls seemed to be having the time of their lives! So I just blended in with the crowd… And, for the first time, I applied “Mircea’s tactic”… that is, going around, stopping here and there for a while, making eye contact… you know the drill
. After drinking two Coronitas, I had to go powder my nose. I am only telling you this because I only stayed in the bathroom like… 2 minutes. But when I got out, everybody was either gone, or leaving. It was only midnight… I thought to myself that maybe, since it started so soon (at 6-7 it was already full), the disco also closes at 12, so we could go and change for the bigger clubs. Seemed stupid, but it was the only explanation I could find for the moment. I was so wrong! But for the time being, I had to accept things as they seemed. So I got out with the others, walked around some more and then went back to the hotel, for a well deserved sleep.
Today’s picture: the beers of Ibiza!
Day 2: Andrea.
I woke up at 7 am. If I wanted a nice tan, I had to catch the first hours of sun in the morning. So, there I was, at 7:15, in the hotel restaurant, at a small table facing the seaside, having breakfast…
